some stuff happened.

not really gonna elaborate, obviously, but basically: friend of a friend (bordering on boyfriend) ditched said friend for another friend they've known for way less. then, when confronted about this + their recent pattern of behavior, revealed that actually, they no longer want to be friends and now find everything they do annoying ("for no good reason"). like, it's so fucked. we all knew this person was a little bit inconsiderate, but this is just jerkass behavior.

but, i mean, there's some good from today. i got to hang out with my friend (calling her vash for now, because she's a huge trigun fan) today at her house. i got a cute pair of boots from the nearby goodwill, which will look really cute with these denim coveralls i got at a resale place. vash also gave me two cds she didn't want (everyone knows she's into cds, so people just dump their collections onto her lol). "white noise" from pyris and "wild world" from bastille. haven't listened to them yet; i'd rather experience them through the quod libet shuffle. also brought her greta van fleet, dave matthews, and car seat headrest so she could rip them onto her pc :P

writing wise, i'm in the beginnings of a modernized, goofy version of hades + persephone (i know, everyone does it, but i had ideas), and i've been taking notes (cuz it's in greece and i live in the usa). to give two highlights:

- The old guard were originally anarcho-communist punks during the 80s.
- Kronos was the far-right mayor of the small town of Olympus (wanted a "clean, pristine Greece" with none of that icky foreign influence; "Greece for Christian Greeks"). Zeus won against him in a landslide election and married his daughter, Hera, just to rub salt into his wounds. Then Kronos got ran out of town or smthn

because i needed to look up greek rock bands, and then i looked into the history of rock music in greece, and the wikipedia page mentioned censorship. so then i stumbled across the greek junta and the anarcho-commie punk movement, and everything fell into place. i love doing basic research! unfortunately, basic research won't get persephone to zeus' mcmansion so she can give him 20 flower bouquets (hera is mad at him again), so i'll still have to figure that out.
